Rainbow Density Lab
In this lab we're creating 5 salt solutions, each with a different density. Each solution is made a different color according to it's density. Then because of the different densities of each color they won't mix but they'll create layers.
Purpose: To make various saline solutions and layer them according to their respective densities.
Materials:
1. Scale/ Balance
2. 1-100mL Graduated Cylinder
3. 2- 150mL Beakers
4. Pipette/ Dropper
5. Sheet of White Paper
6. Salt
7. Food Coloring (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue)
8. Water

Each solution had a different density which caused the solutions to form layers instead of mixing. It's clear to see which layer is the most dense and which is the least.
